Gabino Borjas

Gabino Borjas, 72, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at his residence in Edinburg surrounded by his family. He was born on a Tuesday, September 7, 1948 in Aguascalientes, Mexico to Nicolas Borjas and Maria Isabel Lopez Borjas. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Gabino is survived by his loving wife of 50 years; Librada G. Borjas, children; Joe L. (Marisela) Borjas, Gerardo Borjas, Lilia Margarita (Juan) Gonzalez, Selene Isabel (Arturo Hernandez) Borjas and Yesenia (Gaudencio) Aguirre, brother; Juan Borjas, Sr., sisters; Teresa Ortiz, Jesusa Solis, Isabel Mendoza and Tomasa Garcia. He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Gabino lived in Edinburg most of his life and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He was a humble and hard working family man. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and cooking.
The Borjas family will receive friends on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM with a Holy Rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg, Texas. Catholic Mass will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 8:00 AM at Holy Family Church, 1302 E. Champion Street in Edinburg. Catholic burial will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens, 6200 Val Verde Road in Donna, Texas. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be: Joe L Borjas, Gerardo Borjas, Joey Borjas, Justin Borjas, Gaudencio Aguirre, Jennifer Borjas and Alan Borjas. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and staff of Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
