Abundia M. Romero, 89, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Solara Specialty Hospital in McAllen. She was born on Friday, July 11, 1930 in Edinburg, Texas to Juan Moreno and Rita Lieja. She is preceded in death by her parents, and son; Alfredo “Freddy” Moreno.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years; Ruben Romero, sons; Pablo Gomez, David Gomez and Ruben Gomez, numerous grandchildren; sister; Paula Esparza and brother; Abel Moreno.
She will be missed by all who knew her, but they know she is now resting in God's arms. The Romero family will receive friends on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 8:00 a.m. with a Chapel service at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road in Edinburg. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
