Adalberto “Kiko” Martinez, 53, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at his residence in La Blanca, Texas. He was born April 23, 1958 in Edinburg, TX to Margarito Martinez, Sr., and Margarita Lopez Martinez. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Kiko is survived by his two sons; Robert John (Brooke) Martinez and Christopher Martinez, daughter; Maria (Darrell) Fryman, brothers; Margarito (Pilar) Martinez, Jr., and Leonel (Maria Elida) Martinez, sisters; Yolanda (Hector) Luna and Gloria (Benjamin) Bernal, 2 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Kiko was an Edinburg High School graduate Class of 1977. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1983 – 1987 and during the Persian War. He loved fishing and classic cars. He will truly be missed by all those who knew him.
The Martinez Family will receive friends, today, December 18, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. Christian Mass will be held Monday, December 19, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in San Carlos, Texas. Christian burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Having the distinguish honor to serve as pallbearers will be his nephews. Military services will be under the auspices of VFW Post #7473 and American Last Patrol of Elsa, Texas. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
