Alejandro "Alex" Ybarra

Alejandro “Alex” Ybarra, 53, entered eternal rest on Monday, January 24, 2022 in Sparks, Nevada. He was born on a Thursday, November 14, 1968 in Edinburg, Texas to Catarino Ybarra and Santos Maldonado Ybarra. He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years; Maria Teresa “Terri” Ybarra, children; Amelia Ybarra, Manuel Alejandro Ybarra, Annette Ybarra, Aseret Santos Ybarra and Aleeyah Ybarra, siblings; Hilda (Martin) Pena, Hermelinda (Carlos) Salinas, Catarino Ybarra and Patricia Ybarra and numerous nieces and nephews.
Alex lived in Edinburg all of his life and was a master carpenter. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and watching the Dallas Cowboys. Alex’s good nature and humor made him loving, funny and very sociable to all those around him. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all those whose lives he touched.
His family will receive friends on Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM with a Rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic mass will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic burial will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens, 4607 N. Sugar Road in Pharr, Texas. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and Staff of Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
