Alfredo "Freddie" Torrez Jr

Alfredo “Freddie” Torrez, Jr, 51, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center in Edinburg, Texas. He was born on a Wednesday, October 8, 1969 in Parma, Idaho to Alfredo Torrez, Sr. and Ester Garcia. He is preceded in death by his mother.

Left to cherish his memories is his wife of 27 years; Jesusita “Susie” Torres, sons; Jacob (Kimberly) Quitanilla and Nathaniel Lee Torres, granddaughter; Kenzie-Lou Quitanilla, brothers; Jacob (Nadia) Torres and Abel (Paulette) Torres, sister; Mary (Orlando) Cerda, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Freddie lived in Edinburg most of his life and was employed with South Texas Health System for 23 years. He enjoyed fishing, watching UFO shows on the Sci-fi Channel, making model cars and airplanes and was a Dallas Cowboys fan. His greatest joy was spending time with his granddaughter and family. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all those whose lives he touched.

The Torres family will receive friends on Friday, May 14, 2021 from 2:00 PM - 9:00 PM with a celebration of Life at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Christian services will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Peace. Burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road in Edinburg. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manger/Funeral Director and staff of Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home.
