Amado Valdez, 72, entered eternal rest on Friday, January 20, 2017 as his residence in Edinburg. He was born on Sunday, August 13, 1944 in Valle Hermoso, Mexico to Florentino and Maria Trinidad Valdez.
Amado is preceded in death by his wife; Dominga Valdez de Valdez and parents.
He is survived by his children; Alejandro (Amelia) Valdez, Andrea Valdez Boehler, Antonia Valdez and Adelita Valdez, brothers; Francisco (Dora) Valdez and Florencio (Blanca) Valdez, grandchildren; Andrianna Boehler, Alex Valdez, Amanda Valdez, Adrian Valdez, Allysandra Reyna, Moises Reyna, Jr. and Alexis Reyna, great grandson; Nazareth Antonio Crow, nephew; Florencio Valdez, Jr., niece; Rebecca Valdez, god daughter; Adreanna Castillo, numerous nieces and nephews.
Amado was a hard working man who was a kind, passionate and loving man with a beautiful smile that lived a simple and humble life. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially spending time with his four dogs and palomas. He also enjoyed playing cards, bingo and listening to his favorite "Corridos" and "Rancheras". He enjoyed playing the harmonica, accordion and even using leaves to make music. He will be deeply missed by his family and all those whose lives he touched.
His family will receive friends today, January 24, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Christian services will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Peace. Christian burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Edinburg. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be: Alejandro Valdez, Florencio Valdez, Sr., Francisco Valdez, Moises Reyna, Sr., Florencio Valdez, Jr., Genaro Ortiz, Joshua Perea and Alex Valdez. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
