Mr. Perez was a World War II Veteran and won several medals during his tour of duty.  He was retired from service with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, currently AT&T.  He had high work ethic standards, working two and three jobs at a time to sustain his family.  He became a real estate investor and met the daily demands that came with his interests.  In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing and hunting.  When his children were young, he served as a Little League coach.  The neighborhood children who did not have a father would gravitate towards him as a father figure who they looked up to in their daily lives.  He was a kind and generous man who never got tired of helping those in need and gave grounded counseling to all who sought his insight and advice.  For these reasons and more, he will always be held in loving memory by those whose lives he touched.

The Perez family will receive friends, today, March 28, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.  Christian mass will be held Thursday, March 29, 2012  at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg.
