Anselmo Solis, 84, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg, Texas. He was born on a Wednesday, April 21, 1937 in Edcouch, Texas to Cleofas Solis and Maria Santos. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Anselmo is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Isidra R. Solis, children; San Juanita Solis, Jesse Solis, Rosalinda (Jeff) Myers, Anselmo (Patty) Solis, Jr., Daniel (Gladys) Solis; brother, Jose Luis Solis and sister Magdalena Cagle; 6 grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Anselmo was a hardworking family man which included working for the Illinois School District. He enjoyed listening to Norteno and Tejano music, watching movies and boxing. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all those whose lives he touched.
His family will receive friends today, Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road, Ediinburg, Texas. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Funeral Director/Manager of Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
