Anthony Sosa, 50, entered eternal rest on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg, Texas. He was born on a Monday, August 31, 1970 in Edinburg, Texas to Francisco Sosa, Jr. and Maria Elena Vega Sosa. He is preceded in death by his father.
Anthony is survived by his loving wife of 28 years; Cynthia G. Sosa, daughter; Samantha S. Sosa, mother; Maria Elena Sosa, brother; Abel Sosa Sr., mother-in-law; Rosa Maria Moreno, sisters-in-law; Becky Carrizales and Rosalinda Sparks, brother-in-law; Javier “Nieto” (Amanda) Moreno and nephews; Abel Sosa, Jr. and Andrew Sosa.
Anthony was a member of Templo Eloi de Alabanza Y Adoracion in San Carlos, Texas. He worked for Big Valley Auto Auction for over 10 years. He enjoyed bar-b-quing and cooking with his family and friends. He lived life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all those whose lives he touched.
The Sosa family will receive friends today, Tuesday, March 2, 2021 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM with a Prayer service at 6:00 PM at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg, Texas. Christian Service will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home. Christian burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road in Edinburg. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be: Abel Sosa, Sr., Javier “Nieto” Moreno, Ramon Guevara, Pedro Carrizales, Eduardo Ramos, Rene Vega, Joe Espericueta and Mateo Carrizales, Levi Sparks, Joshua Guerra and Jorge Acuna. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and staff of Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
