Antonio Enriquez

Antonio Enriquez, 73, entered eternal rest on Friday, April 15, 2011 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center in Edinburg. He was born on December 28, 1937 in Jalostotitlan, Jalisco to Jose De Jesus Enriquez and Maria Luisa Gutierrez Enriquez. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother; Jose Enriquez, sister; Consuelo Flores, and brother-in-law; Hector Montemayor.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years; Diamantina E. Enriquez, sons; Juan Antonio Enriquez, Gilberto (Angelica) Enriquez, Ricardo (Maria) Enriquez, Jose De Jesus Enriquez, and Eduardo (Debra) Enriquez, daughters; Evangelina Enriquez and Magdalena (Abel Flores) Enriquez, brothers; Miguel (Berta) Enriquez, Raul (Esperanza) Enriquez, and Juan Manuel (Odilia) Enriquez, sisters; Ignacia Montemayor, Elvira (Antonio) Casillas, and Maria De Jesus (Arturo) Garza, 13 – grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Enriquez lived in Edinburg most of his life and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. He worked for the Edinburg Consolidated School District Transportation Department as a bus driver for 18 years until his retirement in 2003. He liked to work in construction, loved to draw, and bar-b-que with his family. He loved to joke around and had a great sense of humor. His greatest love was his family. He was always willing to help anyone in need. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will truly be missed by his family and all those whose lives he touched.

The Enriquez Family will receive friends today, April 18, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. -9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. Christian Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Having the distinguish honor to serve as pallbearers will be his sons and son-in-law. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
