Arturo Garza

Arturo Garza, 45, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 1, 2024 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center in Edinburg. He was born on a Sunday, July 9, 1978 to Andres Garza and Maria del Carmen Morales Garza in Edinburg, Texas. He is preceded by his father.

Arturo is survived by his mother; Carmen Garza, siblings; Elsa Morales, Jose Morales, Maricela Ochoa and Graciela Garza Berryhill, numerous nieces and nephews.

Arturo worked for the P.S.J.A. and E.C.I.S.D. as a kindergarten and 1st grade teacher for 17 years. He touched the lives of countless students and colleagues alike. Born with a passion for teaching, he dedicated his life to nurturing young minds. He believed in the power of education to transform lives and instilled a love of learning in everyone he encountered. He enjoyed watching football and was an enthusiast for the Tennessee Titans. He also enjoyed coaching, gaming, wrestling, Superman, but his greatest love was spending time with his nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all those whose lives he touched.

A Catholic Mass will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and staff of Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg.
