Aurora G. Perez

Aurora "Gori" G. Perez, 76, entered eternal rest on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Edinburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Edinburg. She was born on Thursday, October 08, 1942 in Mercedes, Texas to Tiburcio Gonzales, Sr. and Francisca Montes de Oca. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Carlos Perez, Sr., daughter; Connie Eulalia Perez, and brother; Tiburcio Gonzales, Jr.
Gori is survived by her sons; Carlos (Alicia) Perez, Jr., Cristobal "Cris" (Melinda) Perez, Joseph (Lynn) Perez and Craig (Estella) Perez, daughter; Cindy (Brian) Mutz, 12 - grandchildren; Jesus, Lucas, Paula, Sophia, Cris, Daniel, Thomas, Liberty, Craig, Cassandra, Fabian and Zebrina, 2 - great grandchildren; Logan and Antonio, 6 - sisters, 4 - brothers, numerous nieces and nephews.
Gori as she was affectionately known to her family; loved knitting, crocheting and painting ceramics. She also enjoyed cooking for all her family. She was always very supportive in her children and grandchildren lives. She was a loving, caring and nurturing mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was very positive and encouraging to others and lived her life to the fullest. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all those whose lives she touched.
Her family will receive friends today, Tuesday, February 19, 2019 from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic burial will follow to Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 14166 U.S. 83 Business in La Feria. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be her grandchildren: Jesus, Paula, Cris, Craig, Cassandra, Fabian and Zebrina. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and Staff of Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home.
