Avidio C. Davila, 88, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 13, 2012 at his residence in Edinburg. He was born November 7, 1924 at Tabasco Ranch in Hidalgo, TX to Narcisco Davila and Manuela Cuellar Davila.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife; Maria Magdalena Ramirez, brother; Leopoldo Davila, and son-in-law; Jose Molina.
Avidio is survived by his sons; Avidio (Thelma) Davila, Jr., Arnoldo (Sylvia) Davila, and Abel (Sandra) Davila, daughters; Aurora Molina an Anita (George) Elizondo, brothers; Oliverio Davila and Narciso Davila, Jr., 17 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The Davila family will receive friends, Sunday, December 16, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. A Christian mass will be held, Monday, December 17, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church in Hargill, TX. Christian burial will follow to Valle De La Paz Cemetery in Hargill, TX. Funeral services were entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
