Cedalia “Lala” Z. Pardo entered eternal rest on Monday, February 7, 2011at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. She was born on August 14, 1941 in Edinburg, Texas to Manuel Zarate and Apolonia Juarez.
Mrs. Pardo is preceded in death by her parents, son; Daniel Pardo, brothers; Onofre Zarate, Sr., Alejandro Zarate, sisters; Carmen Luna and Herlinda Hernandez.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 50 years; Encarnacio “Chon” Pardo, son; Daniel (Betty Jo) Pardo, Ricardo “Rick” Pardo, daughters; Celine Pardo, Joanna (Juan) Martinez, brothers; Jose (Amparo) Zarate, Lombardo (Hilda) Zarate, Sigifredo (Basilica) Zarate, sisters; Soila (Raul) Vela, Abigail (Paul) Woolman, Refugia (Benny) Garza, Modesta (Urbano) Alaniz, grandchildren; Victor Reyna III, Levi Pardo, Nicolas Martinez, Jared E. Pardo, Ryan Pardo, Dimitri Pardo, Barbara Barrientos, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Pardo was a heart-warming and caring person, who loved helping the elders and everyone in her neighborhood. She had a great sense of humor. She loved to attend to her garden and was known to have a green-thumb. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She will truly be missed by her family, friends and all those whose lives she touched.
The Pardo Family received friends on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a rosary prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. Christian mass was held on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian burial followed to Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services were entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
