Cipriano Aguilar, 89, entered eternal rest on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at his residence in Edinburg, Texas. He was born September 26, 1921 in Granger, Texas to Agustin Aguilar and Agustina Paloma-Aguilar.
Mr. Aguilar is preceded in death by his wife, Beatriz Cantu, parents, sons; Ricardo Aguilar, Luis Aguilar, brothers; Cresencio Aguilar, and Ireneo Aguilar.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons; Antonio Cantu, Juan (Mary) Aguilar, Claudio Aguilar, daughters; Rosa (Leo) Pena, Yolanda (Arnoldo) Soto, Beatriz (Juan) Flores, Anita (Erasmo) Amaya, Frances (Isaac) Escamilla, brothers; Jose (Sara) Aguilar, Pedro (Dora) Aguilar, sisters-in-law; Petra Aguilar, Elida Aguilar, 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Aguilar proudly served his country during WWII. He loved to read, spend time with his family and enjoyed to barbeque. Mr. Aguilar was also a barber in Edinburg for 25 years. He will truly be missed by all of his family, friends and all those whose lives he touched.
The Aguilar Family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. Christian mass will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian burial will follow to Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission, Texas. Funeral services were entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
