Consuelo "Chelito Girl" V. Munoz, 80, entered eternal rest on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at her residence in Edinburg. She was born on Tuesday, March 26, 1937 in Edinburg, Texas to Ronaldo Vasquez and Vaudelia Quesada Vasquez. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Rumaldo Munoz, Sr., and son; Adan Munoz.
Left to cherish her memories are her sons; Jose Guadalupe (Belma) Munoz, Bentura (Nena) Munoz, Gustavo (Martha) Munoz, Rumaldo Munoz, Jr., Jose Jesus (Esmeralda) Munoz, Jorge (Cynthia) Munoz, and Roberto (Carol) Munoz, daughter; Rosalinda Munoz, brother; Juan (Maria) Vasquez, sister; Guadalupe (Mel) Villarreal, 20 - grandchildren, 9 - great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Consuelo worked for the Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District in the Cafeteria Department for over 33 years until her retirement. She enjoyed buying scratch off lottery tickets and playing Bingo, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all those whose lives he touched. The family would like to give a special "Thank You" to Yolanda Hernandez for all the special care and love she showed to their mother.
Her family will receive family and friends today, Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1302 East Champion Street in Edinburg. Catholic burial will follow to Hillcest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road in Edinburg. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be her sons, daughter and grandson; Samuel Munoz. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
