Criselda V. Hinojosa

Criselda V. Hinojosa, 90, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 in Rio Grande City, Texas. She was born on a Saturday, November 14, 1931 in Cypress Ranch, Puerto Rico, Texas to Natividad Valdez and Maria Delores Valdez. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Gumaro Hinojosa, brother; Victor Valdez, sister in law; Emma Valdez, Brothers in Law; Crecencio Gutierrez and Jose Joel Garcia.
Criselda is survived by her son; Jorge Luis (Cynthia G.) Garcia, siblings; Elma V. Gutierrez, Marcolfa V. Garcia, Roberto (Cipriana) Valdez, Arturo (Gracie) Valdez and Ramiro (Isabel) Valdez, grandchildren; William Isayah Calderon, Juan Carlos Garcia, Natalya E. Garcia, Gabriel Gumaro Garcia and Jorge Luis Garcia, Jr, numerous nieces and nephews.
Criselda lived in Puerto Rico, TX all of her life and was a member of the ladies Auxillary with the Noe Hinojosa V.F.W. Post # 9303 in San Isidro. She loved to cook and spend time with her family. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all those whose lives she touched.
Her family received friends on Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM with a rosary prayed at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. A Catholic Mass will be celebrated today, Friday, March 11, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg, Texas. Catholic burial will follow at Hinojosa Cemetery in Puerto Rico, Texas. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be: Jose Joel Garcia, Jr., Jose Joel Garcia III, Eddie Valdez, Roberto Valdez, Jr., Alberto Rodriguez and Jose Ybarra. Funeral Services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and Staff of Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
