Cruz Briseno, 57, entered eternal rest on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at his residence in La Blanca, Texas. He was born on Sunday, May 3, 1959 in Edinburg, Texas to Pedro Briseno, Sr. and Soledad Moreno Briseno. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother; Reyes Briseno.

Left to cherish his memories are his sisters; Ramona Cooper, Rosie M. Briseno, Mary Briseno and Angie Briseno, brothers; Jesse Salvador Briseno, Sr., Pedro (Santos) Briseno, Jr., Francisco Briseno, and Luciano (Rosie) Briseno.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg and lived in La Blanca, Texas all of his life. He was a very humble and peaceful man who was dearly loved by his family. He will be missed by his family, but they know he is now resting until they meet again.

His family will receive friends today, Sunday, March 26, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic Mass will be held on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic burial will follow to Donna City Cemetery in Donna, Texas. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be: Luciano Briseno, Jacinto Briseno, Jerry Briseno, Javier Briseno, Jiram Briseno and Ebin Gomez. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
