Cynthia Teresa Chapa, 57, entered eternal rest on Monday, March 12, 2018 at her residence in Edinburg. She was born on Saturday, January 21, 1961 in Edinburg, Texas to Baltazar Efren Chapa and Zenaida Anzaldua Chapa. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Norberto Efren Chapa, Baltazar (Elva (+)) Chapa, and Eduardo Chapa.
Cynthia is survived by her loving daughter; Rebekah (Michael) Garza, grandchildren; Alexa Zapata, Arantxa Zapata, and Beaux Chapa Garza, brothers; Oscar (Diana) Chapa, Daniel (Anita) Chapa, and Jorge (Nora) Chapa, sisters; Nelda (Paul) Pruneda, Nelia (Dr. J.I. Ochoa) Chapa, Naomi Adame, Norma (Fernando) Jimenez, Dora Maye Chapa, Tilly (Richard) Longoria, Zelma (Carlos) Gracia, Thelma Chapa, and Lucia M. Vega, numerous nieces and nephews.
Cynthia lived in Edinburg all of her life and worked at Macy's for the last 8 years. She enjoyed life to the fullest, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family, co-workers and all those whose lives she touched.
Her family will receive friends on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg, Texas. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
