Dionisio "Nicho" Alcala, 72, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance Edinburg. He was born on Wednesday, March 20, 1946 in Pharr, Texas to Adolfo Alcala and Consuelo Lopez Alcala. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Nicho is survived by his Children; Dionisio Alcala, Frank (Tricia) Alcala, Adolfo (Miranda) Alcala, Yolanda (Rueben) Burton, Joshua Alcala, Esteban Alcala and Anthony Alcala, siblings; Josefa (Sabas) Longoria, Angelita (Hector) Sanchez, Ignacia (Remigio) Lopez, Consuelo Alcala, Oscar (Lilly) Reyes, Cesar (Mary) Alcala, Natividad (Mary) Alcala, Pedro Alcala, Alonzo Alcala, Olivia Montemayor, Delia Davila,Homer Davila, Jose Luis Davila, Gregorio Davila, Enrique Davila, Rosa Davila and Ernestina Davila, 17- Grandchildren, 20- Great Grandchildren.
Nicho proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He lived in Edinburg most of his life and worked as a truck driver for many years. Nicho had a passion for life and horses. He lived life to the fullest and in his own way. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and those who lives he touched.
His family received friends Today, Thursday, February 21, 2019 from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM with a Rosary prayed at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Chapel service will be celebrated on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home. Burial will follow to Valle De La Paz Cemetery in Hargill, TX. Military services are under the auspices of V.F.W. Post #7473 of Elsa, Texas. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz-Funeral Home in Edinburg.
