Eddie Wayne Salazar, 57, entered eternal rest on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at his residence in Edinburg. He was born on a Wednesday, November 21, 1962 in Raymondville, Texas to Ramiro Salazar and Rebecca Brewster Salazar. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother; Ramiro Salazar, Jr.
Eddie is survived by his loving wife of 31 years; Celinda "Sally" Salinas Salazar, son; Edward Christian Salazar, daughter; Edie Celeste (Edgar) Jenny, granddaughters; Brandi, Kylie and Emily Jenny, sisters; Patricia Ann Garcia and Dolores Ester Valdez, brother; Mario Salazar, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Eddie worked for the Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District for 36 years retiring in 2016 as a Supervisor for the Transportation Department. Eddie was also an authorized licensed gun dealer and was a very talented leather craftman doing gun holsters and belts. He also enjoyed watching Star Trek, hunting, fishing and listening to music.
The Salazar family will receive friends on Monday, June 8, 2020 from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. A Catholic Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
