Eduardo “Lalo” C. Luna, 73 entered eternal rest on Monday, March 11, 2024 at his residence in Edinburg. He was born on a Tuesday, December 5, 1950 to Nicolas Luna and Francisca Chavez Luna in Elsa, Texas. Eduardo is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Olga V. Luna, son; Gregory Allen (Edna) Luna, three brothers; Elias (Juanita) Luna, Elivorio (Mary) Luna and Hector (Yolanda) Luna, one sister; Eulalia (Felipe) Hernandez, two granddaughters; Amber Theresa (Brian) Arellano and Karina Alana Luna as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Eduardo was a very proud graduate of Edinburg High School, fighting Bobcats, Class of 1970. He worked for Allen Floral Designs, taught at Lincoln Elementary School in Edinburg for 7 years and was also a volunteer for LBJ Elementary School in Edinburg. He enjoyed watching sports, doing woodwork, making others laugh but his greatest love in life was his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and will be deeply missed by family, friends and by all those whose lives he touched.
The Luna family will receive friends on Sunday, March 17, 2024 from4:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM at the Chapel of Peace, Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street, Edinburg, Texas. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, March 18, 2024 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1302 East Champion, Edinburg. Burial will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens, 4607 North Sugar Road in Pharr, Texas. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Funeral Director/Manager and staff at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home.
