EDINBURG — Eliborio “Bollo” Flores, 95, entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg surrounded by his family and friends. He was born in Mission, Texas to Guillermo Flores, Sr. and Feliciana Alvarado Flores. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sara Esquivel Flores; brothers, Ernesto L. Flores, Guillermo Flores, Jr.; sisters, Guillermina Pina, Francisca Enriquez, Amelia Garcia; sister-in-law, Maria Flores.
Left to cherish his memories are his children; Vidal (Julia) Flores, Zaida (Jaime) Avila, Lillian Flores Mann and Lauren (Rene) Guajardo; brothers, Eleazar Flores, Efrain (Chavelita) Flores and Enrique (Rosa) Flores; sisters, Queta (Alberto) Villafuerte and Elma (Austroberto) Flores; brothers-in-law, Gilberto Pina, Apolonio Enriquez and Gabriel Garcia; 9 – Grandchildren, 2 – Great Grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Eliborio lived in Edinburg most of his life and was a member of First Lutheran Church in Edinburg. He proudly served our country in the Army during WWII. Mr. Flores was a great business man and hard worker who over his career sold Forever Living products, World Encyclopedia Books, Amway Products and Life Insurances. He even owned a local grocery store in his neighborhood named E. Flores Grocery Store where he would let customers purchase groceries on credit. He attended el Oro del Pueblo Adult Day Care where he enjoyed playing Bingo. He was a very generous loving person who loved to share stories with his family and friends. He was very patriotic and always full of life. He will greatly be missed by his family, friends and all those whose lives he touched.
Family will receive friends today, September 29, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Christian services will be held on Monday, September 30, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church, 302 South Sugar Road in Edinburg. Christian burial with Military Honors under the Auspices of VFW Post #8788 will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be Enrique Flores, Jr., Nikolas Avila, James Avila, Abran Garcia, Ventura Garcia, Jaime Avila, Rene Guajardo and Joshua Flores. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
