Enedina Briseno, 94, entered eternal rest on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. She was born on Saturday, May 14, 1927 in Donna, Texas to Cornelio Briseno and Maria Simona Marquez. She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers; Pedro Briseno and Francisco Briseno and 3 sisters; Antonia Rodriguez, Felipa Briseno and Maria Inez Vega.
Left to cherish her memories are her siblings; Nestora Ernestina Aguilar, Zaragosa (Apolonia) Briseno, Teofile Hawranik and Estefana Briseno, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
Enedina lived in Edinburg most of her life and attended St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in San Carlos where she served as a part of the Eucharist, Crusista and Alter Society at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Enedina was a caretaker for over 20 years, had a love for farm life, animals and the outdoors. In her spare time she enjoyed working on crafts and listening to music, especially Mariachi. She will be dearly missed by her family and those whose lives she touched.
Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Chapel services will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Chapel of Peace with Burial following at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road in Edinburg. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and staff of Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
