Ernestina G Salinas

Ernestina G. Salinas, 90, passed away June 5, 2018, at Vista Medical East, Waukegan, IL.
Ernestina was born November 6, 1927, in Los Herreras, NL, Mexico.
She spent her early years helping her family by working in The Rio Grande Valley in Texas.
Ernestinas was a strong, generous woman, with much love in her heart for her family, and she would
help those who needed it. In January of 1954, she married the love of her life,
Concepcion "Connie/Chencho" R. Salinas, in Edinburg, Texas. In 1966, Ernestina, Concepcion and
their children moved to Waukegan, IL where the family lived for many years.
She is survived by her son; Raul (Paula) Salinas, daughters; Rosalinda Torres, Sandra Conrad, and
Yolanda Salinas; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Also surviving her are sisters,
Herminia Gonzalez and Laura (Florencio) Cantu.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Concepcion Salinas, parents; Augustin Gonzalez,
Gregoria Salinas Gonzalez, brother; Fernando Gonzalez, and sister; Emma Gonzalez.
Her family will receive family and friends on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg, Texas 78541.
Visitation will continue on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Templo Bethel - C.L.A.D.I.C., 215 North 21st Avenue, Edinburg, Texas with a Celebration of life beginning at 1:00 PM. Christian burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road in Edinburg. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
