Miss Estela “Estellita” Chavez, 75, entered eternal rest on Monday, March 19, 2012 at her residence in Edinburg. She was born in Monterrey on February 21, 1937 to Herlinda Chavez, but lived in Edinburg most of her life. She is preceded in death by her mother.
Left to cherish her memories is her beloved family; Layo and Bellita Martinez, Dina and Barry Barlow, Danny Martinez, Lee Martinez, Alberto and Eva Marroquin, Jose and Sofia Reyes, Jose Luis and Margarita Marroquin, and many other close friends and family.
Estellita loved to do crocheting, reading, shopping, and to walk with her friends. She attended Santa Cruz Adult Day Care and lived in the Edinburg Tower Apartments community for 12 years. She was always full of life and lived life to the fullest. She will truly be missed by all those whose lives she touched.
Her family will receive friends today, March 21, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace with Pastor Cesar Tamez officiating. Christian services will be held Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Peace with Pastor Ignacio Arguello officiating. Christian burial will follow to Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in McAllen. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
