Evangelina Flores, 84, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Arbrook Plaza Nursing Home in Arlington, TX. She was born January 2, 1929 in China, N.L., Mexico to Francisco Rodriguez and Felipa Cantu.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Ernesto Flores, Sr., 2 sisters, grandson; Michael Villarreal, granddaughter; Kaelyn Lara, and daughter-in-law; Cynthia Flores.
She is survived by her sons; Ernesto Flores, Jr., Emilio Flores, daughters; Hermila (Henry) Bente, Maricela F. (Ruben) Armijo, Sylvia (Jaime) Villarreal, Berzaida (Homero) Menchaca, Dianira Flores, Maria Ernestina (Joaquin) Sanchez, Cynthia (Bradly) Flores-Hill, and Sandra (Elias) Lara, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, 21 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Flores enjoyed gardening and crocheting, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She will greatly be missed by her family, friends and all those whose lives she touched. She was truly an inspiration to all who knew her.
The Flores family will receive friends, Sunday, March 31, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. A Christian mass will be held Monday, April 1, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. A Christian burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
