Felicitas Torres, 75, entered eternal rest on Thursday, December 28, 2018 at University Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on Saturday, July 17, 1943 in San Manuel, Texas to Romulo Garza and Felicitas Zamora Garza. She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters; Hilaria Garza, Maria Natalia Salazar, and Maria Dora Salinas, and brother; Arturo Garza.
Left to cherish her memories are her son; Rey (Liza) Torres, brother; Ted (Gloria) Garza, sister; Maria Ignacia (Johnny) Rodriguez, grandchildren; Ryan Tiger Torres, Tristan Rey Torres, and Lincoln Alexander Torres, ex-husband; Reynaldo Torres, numerous nieces and nephews.
Felicitas worked as an educator for 36 years starting with Raymondville School District and working with Edinburg Independent School District for most of her career. She enjoyed the outdoors and attending to her yard, but her greatest joy was spending time with her son and grandchildren.
Her family will receive family and friends today, December 30, 2018 from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic burial will follow to Pedro Garza Zamora Cemetery in Falfurrias, Texas. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be: Ryan Torres, Eric Salinas, Johnny Rodriguez, Joaquin Paez, Jaime Garza, Chris Vasquez, and Carlo Ellard. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
