EDINBURG — Florentino “Tino” Ybarra, Jr. entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. He was born in Mission, Texas on July 12, 1932 to Florentino Ybarra, Sr. and Martina Gonzalez Ybarra. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Elizabeth Ybarra; and 9 – brothers and 9 – sisters.
Left to cherish his memories is his loving wife of 59 years, Ofelia Valle Ybarra; daughters, Orfelinda (Arnold) Ochoa, Alma Ybarra, Ofelia Alvarado, Norma Linda Alvarez; son, Jose Eleazar (Sandy) Ybarra; 10 – grandchildren; 10- Great-Grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Tino lived in Edinburg all of his life. He was a hardworking man who worked at the Edinburg
Housing Authority for over 30 years until his retirement. He was a Dallas Cowboys fan who loved spending time with his family, listening to music and having family bar-b-ques. He will truly be missed by his family and all those whose lives he touched.
His family will receive friends today, Friday, September 12, 2014 from 12:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a talk to be held at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 E. Kuhn in Edinburg. A service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home. Burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Edinburg. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be Orlando Ochoa, Rene Santiago Alvarado, Javier Alvarez, Eric Ybarra, Jose Eleazar Ybarra, Jr. and Jonathan Edward Ybarra. Funeral Services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
