Gabriela Lopez

Gabriela Lopez, 87, entered eternal rest on Friday, August 23, 2024 at her residence in Edinburg, Texas. She was born on a Thursday, March 18, 1937 Las Estacion, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Victoriano Villa and Susana Saenz Villa. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Jose Luz Lopez, brother; Jeus Villa and sister; Soledad Eufracio.

She is survived by her loving daughter; Nora Elia Lopez and many loving Godchildren. Gabriela loved being a seamstress and was a natural born curandera. She enjoyed everyday life such as a shopping, gardening and playing bingo. She will be greatly missed by family, friends and by all those whose lives she touched.

The Lopez family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace, Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street, Edinburg, Texas. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1302 East Champion Road, Edinburg, Texas with a burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road, Edinburg, Texas. Honored pallbearers will be the following: Jorge Salinas, Mario Salinas, Francisco Saucedo, Jr., Francisco Saucedo, Sr., Lucas Chapa and Jose Manuel “Memo” Vega. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Funeral Director/Manager at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home of Edinburg.
