EDINBURG

Genaro Hernandez, 43, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. He was born in Edinburg on September 5, 1969 to Romualdo Hernandez and Maria de los Angeles Yanez. He is preceded in death by his father and brother; Eleazar Hernandez.
He is survived by his mother; Maria de los Angeles Hernandez, daughters; Anna Lee Hernandez, Lori Ann (Deandre King) Hernandez, Anna Lisa Hernandez and Annisa Garza, son; Genaro “Bobby” Hernandez, Jr., brothers; Romualdo (Gloria) Hernandez, Hugo (Isela) Hernandez and Eliazar (Amanda Garcia) Hernandez, grandaughter; Jayla Lorae “Mi Muneca” King, nephews; Hugo Hernandez, Jr., Bryan Hernandez and Joel Hernandez, nieces; Michelle Hernandez and Denise Hernandez.
Genaro enjoyed spending his time in the outdoors, hunting, fishing and cooking out, for which he won several trophies throughout the years. He will always be the “Best Cook” to his family. He use to help his brother at Hernandez Drive In Store. He was always there for others and he lived his life to the fullest. His final words were “Yo quiero vivir por “Mi Muneca”. He will truly be missed by his family, friends and all those whose lives he touched.
The Hernandez family will receive friends today, Thursday, August 29, 2013 and Friday, August 30, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. – 9 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street, Edinburg, Texas. Christian Mass will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 300 North 15th, Edinburg, Texas. Christian burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be Romualdo Hernandez, Hugo Hernandez, Eliazar Hernandez, Genaro Hernandez, Anastacio Salinas, Camerino Hernandez, Jr., Alonzo Hernandez, Genaro “Bobby” Hernandez, Jr. and Felipe Hernandez. Funeral Services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
