Guadalupe Balderas, Jr., 79, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Comfort House in McAllen, Texas. He was born on a Tuesday, August 15, 1944 in Rio Grande City, Texas to Guadalupe Balderas, Jr. and Angelita Vela Balderas, He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife; Julieta H. Balderas and his sister; Bernarda Jaramillo.
He is survived by his loving children; Angelita Balderas, Jose Angel (Yolanda) Balderas and Heriberto (Rosalinda) Balderas, 4 grandchildren; Samantha Jo (Connor) Balderas-Duggan, Cassandra Yvonne Balderas, Anthoy Joseph Balderas and Michael Augustus Balderas and 1 great granddaughter, Gracie Kay Oleson and sister; Trinidad Balderas.
Guadalupe was a loving and kind man who enjoyed spending time outdoors but his favorite thing to do was spend time with those he loved. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be deeply missed by family, friends and by all those whose lives he touched.
The Balderas Family will receive friends on Monday, March 18, 2024 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM at the Chapel of Peace, Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn, Edinburg, Texas. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street, Edinburg, Texas. Burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road in Edinburg. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be: A.J. Balderas, Michael Balderas, Juan Vela, Lorenzo Vela, Mauricio Vela and Danny Vela. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Funeral Director/Manager and staff at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home.
