Guillermo Peralez

April 6, 1924 — February 17, 2014

Guillermo Peralez, 79, entered into eternal rest on February 17, 2014 at his residence in Edinburg, TX. He was born to Ignacio Peralez and Guadalupe B. Peralez on April 6, 1924 in Edinburg. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 63 years, Josefina T. Peralez; sons, Guillermo (Margarita) Peralez, Jr., Juan (Guadalupe) Peralez, Ramiro (Carmen) Peralez, Martin (Estela) Peralez; daughters, Norma (Vidal) Salinas and San Juanita (Bonifacio) Castillo; 13 Grandchildren; 6 Great-Grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Peralez proudly served his country in the Army during WWII. He was a man with strong work ethics who loved music and dancing. His favorite song was “El Troquero”. He will truly be missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00pm in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. A Christian mass will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 9:30am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Christian burial will follow to Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be Brendon Peralez, Martin Peralez, Jr., David Catillo, Bonifacio Castillo, Jr., Vidal Salinas, Jr., and Guillermo Peralez, III. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
