EDINBURG- Ida Christine Bustos, 50, entered into eternal rest on January 7, 2014 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center in Edinburg, TX. She was born on July 25, 1963 to Victor Bustos, sr. and Guadalupe Garcia Bustos in Amarillo, TX.
She is survived by her loving family; husband of 22 years, Jose Miguel Carrillo; Daughter, Stephanie (Emmanuel Arce) Carrillo; parents, Victor Bustos, Sr. and Guadalupe Garcia Bustos; Stepfather, Jose Angel De Los Angeles; Brothers, Victor Bustos, Jr., Gilberto (Becky Garcia) Bustos; sisters, Angela (Jorge) Renteria, Estella De Los Angeles, Sonia (Sergio) Lara; Grandchildren, Yadhira Kelly Arce, Kuhry Lee Arce, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ida was a hardworking woman who grew up working in Illinois. She also worked at Fur’s throughout the 80’s, and later began working as a CNA at Retama Manor Nursing Center from 1979 to 1982. Ida was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She will truly be missed by her friends, family, and all those whose lives she touched.
Family will receive friends Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn, Edinburg. A Christian chapel service will be held on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home. Christian burial will follow to Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr, TX. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be Jose Miguel Carrillo, Gilbert Bustos, Emmanuel Arce, Brandon Arce, Sergio Lara, and Ricardo Ramirez. Funeral Services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
