EDINBURG — Irma “Gordie” Coronado, 56, entered eternal rest on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at McAllen Medical Center in McAllen. She was born on May 3, 1958 in Edinburg, TX to Pedro Coronado and Alicia Garcia Ramirez.
She is survived by her loving family; daughter, Daniela Alicia Ramirez; brothers, Guadalupe Coronado, Urbano Ramirez, Ramon Ramirez, Armando Ramirez; sisters, Norma Ramirez and Dora Guerrero, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Irma lived in Edinburg her whole life and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. She worked at Austin Elementary School throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s. She was also a substitute teacher for E.C.I.S.D. for 7 years, and has worked at Jefferson Elementary for the last 8 years. Irma enjoyed bar-b-quing and spending time with her family. She was a good artist who loved drawing and reading, and was very computer savy. She will be missed by her friends, family, and all those whose lives she touched.
Family will receive friends for a memorial service today, Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 pm in the Family Chapel at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
