Jacobo Guerra, 68, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 29, 010 at Wilford Hall Medical Center in Lackland Air Force Base. He was born on May 31, 1942 in Cuidad Miel, Mexico to Alvaro Guerra and Hortencia Canales.
He is survived by his brother, Armando (Oralia) Guerra, Sr., sisters; Adalguisa (Ramiro) Rodriguez, Nelva Salinas and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother-in-law; Jose Salinas.
Jacobo will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
Visitation will be held Sunday, August 1, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg with a rosary to be held at 7:00 p.m. Christian mass will be held on Monday, August 2, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian burial will follow to Val-Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be Luis Javier De Leon, Victor Bazan, Jr., Victor Bazan, Sr., Luis Perez, Ricardo Vargas and Armando Gomez. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home.
