James Timothy Killelea, 94, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 18, 2013 in McAllen, TX with his family by his bedside. He was born September 6, 1918 in Seneca, Illinois to James Timothy Killelea, Sr., and Mary Elizabeth Donahue.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife; Leah Hunnicutt Killelea.
Mr. Killelea is survived by his son; James (Lilly) Killelea, daughters; Mary (Tom) Monroe, Joan (Randall Pritchett) Killelea and Julie Killelea, brothers; Donald Killelea and Francis Killelea, sister; Madeline Kennedy, 7 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Killelea proudly served his country in the Army during WWII. After the war, he opened Killelea Motor Sales where he sold Studebakers and Fords. He was a citrus grower and loved farming. He will be missed by his family and all those who knew him.
A memorial mass will be held Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. Visit his obituary at www.ceballos-diaz.com.
