Javier S. Gonzalez, 65, entered eternal rest on Monday, November 28, 2016 at his residence in Edinburg. He was born on July 3, 1951 in Tamaulipas, Mexico to Luis Gonzalez and Francisca Salinas Gonzalez. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother; Jose Luis Gonzalez.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 42 years; Elva S. Gonzalez, sons; Luis (Marilou) Gonzalez, Leonardo Gonzalez and Leonel (Yuri) Gonzalez, sisters; Magdalena Gonzalez, Lucero (Guadalupe Quintero) Gonzalez and Laura Gonzalez, brother; Arturo Gonzalez, sister; Vicenta (Manuel) Gomez, 16 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Javier enjoyed watching T.V., relaxing, scratching lottery tickets and fishing. He also had a sweet tooth for candy. He worked for many years in Florida until his retirement. He had lived in the Laguna Seca area for the last 10 years. He will be missed by his family, friends and those whose lives he touched.
His family received friends, today, Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. 0 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary prayed at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic Mass will be celebrated Friday, December 2, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic burial will follow to El Rucio Cemetery in San Manuel, Texas. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be: Leonardo Gonzalez, Mauro Gonzalez, Julian Aguilera, Javier Aguilera, Luis Gonzalez, Jr. and Leonel Gonzalez, Jr. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
