Joanne “Jojo” Garza, 40, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Amara Hospice in Edinburg, TX. She was born on February 23, 1974 in Edinburg, TX to Joel Manuel Garza, Sr. and Juanita Maria Gonzalez Garza. She is preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by her loving family; her mother, Juanita Garza; sister, Jennifer (Bill) Daniels; brothers, Joel Manuel Garza, Jr., Juan Jose Garza, and Julio Cesar (Mary) Garza, and 2 nieces.
Jojo, as she was affectionately known, was an avid Elvis Fan who loved the ocean, crafts, music, movies, and Coca Cola collectables. She liked being silly, living a happy life, and was a good friend to many. She was a great second momma to her siblings, and helped raise many cousins. She will always be remembered for her strong, caring, and compassionate nature. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm for a memorial service, with a celebration of her life to begin at 7:00 pm. Services will be concluding at funeral home. Funeral Services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
