Jose Chavez, 86, entered eternal rest on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at McAllen Medical Center. He was born May 9, 1924 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Teofilo Chavez and Paula Bustos Chavez.
Mr. Chavez is preceded in death by his parents, wife; Florencia G. Chavez, brother; Francisco Chavez, and brother-in-law; David Sandoval.
Left to cherish his memory is brother; Roberto (Herminia Luna) Chavez, sister; Esperanza Sandoval and his sister-in-law; Maria Chavez. He will truly be missed by all of his family, friends and all those whose lives he touched.
The Chavez Family will receive friends today, April 25, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. Christian mass is scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services were entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
