Juan Manuel Casas

Juan Manuel Casas, 74, entered eternal rest on Monday, March 31, 2025 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center in Edinburg, Texas. Juan was born in Cipress, Texas on a Friday, February 23, 1951 to Heriberto Casas and Paula Garza Casas. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister; Hilda Casas Trevino and brother in laws; Miguel Ramirez and Domingo Trevino.

Juan is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Emma Casas, sons; Juan Manuel “J.M.” (Celina) Casas and Arcadio Eloy (Barbara) Casas, daughter; Valeria Marlene (Eduardo Javier “E.J.”) Casas-Melendez, 6 grandchildren; Zoe Maree Casas. Zia Maris Casas, Zella Mae Casas, Laurel Lila Casas, Bruce Arcadio Casas and Eleanor James Melendez, sister; Alicia Ramirez and brothers; Ramiro (Margarita) Casas, Heriberto Casas, Jr., and Rogelio “Roy” (Dora Elva) Casas as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was known as a hard working man who worked for several companies like Levi’s, Tide Products, Wilbur-Ellis Ag Solutions and Donna Fruit Stand. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns fan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bar-b-queing and making pan de campo but his favorite pastime was spending with his loving family. He will be deeply missed by all those whose lives he touched.

The Casas Family will receive friends on Sunday, April 6, 2025 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace, Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street, Edinburg, Texas. A memorial mass will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1302 East Champion Street, Edinburg, Texas. Services for Mr. Casas will conclude after the memorial mass. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be: Zoe Maree Casas, Zia Maris Casas, Zella Mae Casas, Laurel Lila Casas and Bruce Arcadio Casas with Martin Luna and Rogelio Casas serving as an honorary pallbearers. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Funeral Director/Manager and staff at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
