EDINBURG — Juanita Sanchez, 61, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. She was born April 1, 1952 in Mexico to Jose Flores and Maria Ofelia Flores. She is preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Rigoberto Sanchez; Son, Joe Sanchez; Daughters, Angelina (Joe) Rivera, Edwina (Rolando) Lerma, Vanessa (Gabriel) Garcia; Mother, Maria Ofelia Flores; Sister, Maria De Lourdes (Manuel) Lopez; Grandchildren, Thalia Rivera, Diego Rivera, Allessandra Lerma, Jason Lerma, Kamila Garcia, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Juanita lived in Edinburg most of her life. She loved crocheting, playing candy crush and Sudoku. She also enjoyed watching the Sci-Fi Chanel, as well as her favorite novelas. She will truly be missed by her friends, family, and all those whose lives she touched.
Family will receive friends Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. Christian mass will be held Friday, March 7, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be Joe Sanchez, Joe Rivera, Rolando Lerma, Gabriel Garcia, Manuel Lopez, and Wilver Parra. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
