Leonila De La Rosa

Leonila De La Rosa, 85, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at her residence in Edinburg. She was born on Friday, June 10, 1932 in Linares, N.L., Mexico to Agustin Davila and Concepcion Bravo. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Aurelio De La Rosa, sons; Miguel Angel De Los Rosa, and Adolfo De La Rosa, brothers; Jesus Davila, Gilberto Davila, and Manuel Davila, sisters; Beatriz Vargas and Ignacia Davila.
Leonila is survived by her daughter; Erica De La Rosa, Valentina Davila, and Florentina Davila, grandchildren; Miguel Angel De La Rosa, Jr., David De La Rosa, Daniel Jacob Ramirez, D'Ann Ramirez, and Deena Lee Ramirez, great grandson; Matthew L. Martinez, brothers; Daniel Davila and Guadalupe Davila, numerous nieces and nephews.
Leonila lived in Edinburg all of her life and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She worked as a cook at El Pato Restaurant for over 10 years. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched.
Her family received family and friends on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 2: 00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road in Edinburg. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be: Miguel Angel De La Rosa, Jr., Daniel Ramirez, Marty Martinez, Julio Solis, Manuel Garza, Miguel Angel De La Rosa, III, and Anthony De La Garza. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
