Linda Lou Vasquez, 76, entered eternal rest on Friday, August 25, 2023 at her residence in Edinburg, Texas. She was born on a Friday, June 27, 1947 to Mauro Vasquez and Adela Tovar Vasquez in McAllen, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Jesse Palomo, Sr. and sister Elma de la Garza.
Linda is survived by her loving son; Jesse Palomo, Jr. and granddaughters; Amber Renee Palomo and Jewel Marie (Daniel) Palomo-Keathley, sisters; Alicia Carry, Albesa (Chuy) Villarreal, Ruth Gorena, Diana Davila, Elia (Jose Angel) Solis and Estella Losoya, brothers; Mauro (Rosie) Vasquez, Jr. and Fernando (Gloria) Vasquez.
Linda loved singing at her church, Rios de Agua Viva in Edinburg, Texas. She loved playing chalupa but especially loved being her family and spending time with loved ones. Linda loved life and will be greatly missed by her family and friends and all those whose lives she touched. It brings some comfort to those she loved that she is now reunited with her husband of 51 years, Jesse Sr.
The Palomo family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 for a Memorial Service from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a prayer service to be held at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace, Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street, Edinburg, Texas. Chapel service will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 9:00 AM in the Chapel of Peace with burial of ashes to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road, Edinburg, Texas. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and staff at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
