Manuela L. Sepulveda, 95, from Edinburg went to be with our Lord on Monday, July 6, 2015. She passed away at home, peacefully surrounded by family. She was born on March 12, 1920 to the late Jose Maria Lopez and Higinia Vasquez.
Manuela was a Christian Church going homemaker, wife, and mother of ten children. She had lots of longtime friends and was known as the candy Grand’ ma. She loved to play bingo for candy, and bargain hunt for collectables at all yard sales and swap shops. She was a hard worker and loved to cook and sew. Her garden was her number one hobby. She was a friend to neighbors and everyone she met.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Merced Sepulveda; son, Tony Lorenzi and daughter, Elvira Lorenzi Smith.
Survivors include four daughters, Mary Rudousky from Missouri, Teresa Lozano from Lousiana, Rose Bowen and husband from Lockhart, Texas, and Margie Steuber and husband from Arkansas; Four sons, Thomas Lorenzi and wife from Austin, Texas, Luis Lorenzi and wife from Edinburg, Mike Lorenzi and wife from Harlingen, and Manuel Lorenzi and wife from Blanca Texas. Other survivors include numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
Family will receive friends Today, Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 10:00 am – 9:00 pm in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn, in Edinburg. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 10, 2015 at 10:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 401 South Jackson Rd., in Edinburg. She will be laid to rest with her husband and daughter at Valley Memorial Gardens, 3605 North Taylor Rd., in McAllen, TX. Funeral Services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
