EDINBURG — Margaret “Margie” Louise Cavazos was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 28th, 1955. At the age of 57, she was called to be one of gods Guardian Angels on June 13, 2013.
She was the fourth daughter and the second of two born that day. A loving twin, she will forever be remembered for her strength, her kindness, loving and giving ways. For all those that met her, there was not one that hated her. The innocence in her heart, and the way she lived her life will forever be an inspiration to all that she touched. Born in Chicago, she lived 48 of her years there. She spent the rest of her life in Edinburg, the town of her Mother’s birth.
She said she had ‘itchy feet’. She loved to be outside, to go to the dollar store and buy simple things for her family. She never lost her love for watching cartoons. And Kiki will forever be etched in the hearts of her family as a movie that she loved with a passion, a movie with a girl that could fly. She is flying now, in heaven, watching out for her loved ones.
Her final months she battled cancer, a fight that she lost. But her strength and courage during that fight will forever be remembered by her family, the nurses, and doctors that fought with her. She saw three doors, and held onto them to the end.
She is survived by her Mother, Aurora Klosa, and her sisters, Aurora Ouellette, of Edinburg, Sylvia and Joseph Jucha, of Chicago, and her twin, Virginia Cavazos of Edinburg. She leaves behind the love and affection of 15 cousins, 4 Uncles, 4 Aunts, and many Nieces, Nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Also, the love of her life, Fiona….a cockapoo.
A Christian Mass will be held Monday, June 17, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 215 16th Ave. Edinburg, Texas. Christian burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services were entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
