Maria De La Luz Armijo

Maria De La Luz “Lucy” “Butchie” Armijo entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 08, 2011 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. She was born March 30, 1945 in Edinburg, Texas to Anastacio Armijo, Sr., and Eulalia Salazar Armijo. She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her brother; Anastacio (Estela) Armijo, Jr., sisters; Francisca Armijo, Margaret (Robert) Lopez, Bertha (Gary) Larson, Maria de Jesus “Chanita” Armijo, Mary (Joe) Martinez, her twin sister; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ms. Armijo worked for Hidalgo County Veterans Service office for 30 years until her retirement. She served as a Catholic Daughter for Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. She will truly be missed by all of his family, friends and all those whose lives she touched.
The Armijo family received friends Thursday, November 10, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a rosary prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home. A Christian mass will be held today, Friday, November 11, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
