Maria Barrera

Maria Barrera, 81, entered eternal rest on Friday, November 29, 2024 at her residence in Edinburg, Texas. She was born on a Friday, April 2, 1943 in Guadalajara, Mexico to Pantaleo Barrera and Crisofora Sandoval Barrera. Maria is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Alfonso Reyna and daughter; Isabel Martinez 

Maria is survived by her loving children; Oscar (Claudia) Reyna, Margarita Reyna, Lydia (Fausto) Espinoza, Veronica (Isaias) Reyna-Vasquez and Isabel Martinez, 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She worked as a seamstress at Levi’s Company and a provider at Concepts of Love both for many years. Being a faithful witness, she shared the word with many. Maria enjoyed word puzzles, knitting and gardening. However her favorite thing to do was spend time with her loving family.

The Barrera family will receive friends for a visitation on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 from 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM and a visitation on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 from 9:00 AM – 6:30 PM at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street, Edinburg, Texas. A talk will take place on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at 6:30 PM in the Chapel of Peace, Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Funeral Director/Manager and staff at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
