Maria Rocha Chavana, 65, entered into eternal rest on December 28, 2013 at her residence in Edinburg, TX. She was born to Bernardo Rocha, Sr. and Juanita Villarreal on April 2, 1948 in Edinburg. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Benito Chavana; sister, Amelia (Pedro) Ontiveros; sister-in-laws, Evangelina and Maria Rocha.
She is survived by her loving family; Daughter, Mary B. (Leroy) Hernandez; Brothers, Nieves Rocha, Bernardo (Janie) Rocha, Jr., David (Lupita) Rocha, Antonio (Gloria) Rocha, Enrique (Elvira) Rocha, Roman Rocha; Sisters, Anita (Gonzalo) Castillo, Olivia Rocha, Yolanda (Rey) Longoria, and four grandchildren.
Maria was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. She enjoyed spending her time with her family. She will truly be missed by all her friends, family, and all those whose lives she touched.
Family will receive friends today, Wednesday, January 1, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Family Chapel at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn, Edinburg. A Christian mass will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian Burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Edinburg. Funeral Services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
