Maria Ester Fuentes

Maria Ester Fuentes, 63, entered eternal rest on Friday, October 18, 2024 at McAllen Heart Hospital in McAllen, Texas. She was born on a Sunday, October 8, 1961 in Elgin, Illinois to Jose Fuentes and Isidra Banda Fuentes. Maria is preceded in death by her parents.

Maria is survived by her loving children;Frank (Jacqueline) Trejo, Michael (Prepedigna) Trejo, Luis (Ida) Fuentes, Rene (Myra) Fuentes and Bianca (Gabriel Rodriguez) Fuentes, siblings; Jose F. Fuentes, Freddie Fuentes, Fernanda Fuentes and Elva Fuentes, 17 grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

Maria Ester was a hard working and loving woman. She enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, playing bingo and dancing. However her favorite pasttime was being able to love and spend time with her children and her grandchildren. She will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.

The Fuentes and Trejo families will receive family and friends on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace, Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street, Edinburg, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace, Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens, 6200 Val Verde, Donna, Texas. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be: Frank Trejo, Michael Trejo, Luis Fuentes, Rene Fuentes, Fabian Trejo and JJ Fuentes. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Funeral Director/Manager and staff at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
